We believe that agriculture is, first and foremost, cultivation of the land. It is a set of values, principles, and responsibilities that guide our every action, from the first seed planted in the field to the jar that arrives on your table. Our ethics are not a marketing strategy, but the foundation upon which all our work is based.
Our principles can be summarized in four fundamental pillars:
1. Respect for the Ecosystem
The earth is a living and complex organism. We practice low-impact agriculture, which aims to preserve and enrich soil fertility and biodiversity. Our rice fields are not intensive monocultures, but living ecosystems, managed with the conscious use of water, a precious resource. For our bees, we choose only locations far from sources of pollution, where they can forage on healthy, spontaneous flowers, contributing to the essential pollination service.
2. Bee Well-Being
For us, bees are not a production tool, but extraordinary living beings, sentinels of environmental health. Our beekeeping is sedentary and respects their natural cycles. We do not practice intensive exploitation, we do not use antibiotics, and we leave the bees a generous portion of their honey to ensure they get through the winter strong and healthy. A healthy bee produces delicious, vibrant honey.
3. Authenticity and Transparency
We are committed to offering you an absolutely pure product. Our honey is cold-extracted and undergoes no heat treatment to preserve all its properties. Our rice is gently processed to maintain its nutritional and organoleptic characteristics. We believe in a short and transparent supply chain: we are the producers, we are the ones who guarantee quality, putting our face on every single package.
4. The Value of the Territory
We are proud to be a farm with roots in Cameri. We feel a responsibility to be the guardians of Novara´s landscape and agricultural traditions. Purchasing our products means supporting a local, family-run economy, contributing to the survival of human-scale agriculture, and preserving a heritage of flavors and knowledge at risk of disappearing.
Our ethics aren´t just written on this page. You can find them in the aroma of our honey, the consistency of our rice, and the knowledge that you´re choosing food that´s not only good, but also fair.
